let’s hit the road

how to get here & things to do

by plane — Boise has one small (but mighty) airport. while there is no direct flight from the United Kingdom to Boise, we do not foresee more than one short domestic layover in the United States for those who are joining us from across the pond. if you are flying from the Bay Area, we recommend flying Southwest Airlines out of San Jose.

a good night's sleep

we recommend staying at The Grove Hotel where the bride and groom will be staying with their wedding party. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Boise and is within walking distance of grocery stores, boutiques, restaurants, and the river greenbelt. The hotel also offers a free airport shuttle, a well-stocked bar, and a great restaurant.

book using our room block rate here or over the phone by inquiring about the Johnson-Rogers wedding. Please note: rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend booking for Friday and Saturday nights.

should you prefer to use a rental service such as AirBnB or VRBO we recommend looking for homes with descriptions such as “downtown,” “the north end,” “hyde park,” or “warm springs.”

our favorite places in Boise

what to do in greater Idaho

want to make a longer trip of this experience? we recommend visiting some of Idaho’s most beautiful places while you’re here. our top picks are Sun Valley or nearby Stanley (especially if you get the chance to stay at Redfish Lake Lodge) but we’re also big fans of McCall!

if you’re traveling from the UK and want to add some US cities to your list, we would recommend stopping over in Portland, Oregon or Seattle, Washington to get the total northwest experience.
